Published here for the first time in printed form, this sonata has been handed down as a manuscript and anonymous Sonata pastorale.The five part volumes are entitled: Flauto primo, Flauto primo di ripieno, Flauto secondo di ripieno and Bassone di Flauto, and are contemporary arrangements and compilations forming a greater work that consists of four movements. The first two movements are taken from a three-movement trio in G major by Alessandro Besozzi, the last two movements correspond to the two-movement trio sonata no. V in G major by Giuseppe Tartini.
